New Video: US Copyright Office Issues Rules For Generative AI Part 2: More Nuance!

So I figured my first video on what the US copyright office said about their policy towards AI would be popular, but had no idea it would explode like it did, with well over 1000 comments. So I wanted to do a quick second video to give some more details on a few things said in the first video, give one correction, and to discuss some of the most posted comments. Hopefully this companion video will give people more food for thought.

3 new Starship Hulls

Made a few new Starship Hull images. For those of you who haven't seen them before, these are 2d photoshop images depicting patterns on the exterior of motherships.

 

Think of them as scifi composition tests.

Concept Design Is About The Idea, Not The Level Of Finish

In this video, I give my opinion on how it's the idea, not the level of image polish, that should define good concept art. I explore a number of examples, and hope to persuade people to look past how realistic the final painting might be, and instead focus on the actual design, and how it can communicate an idea to the next person in the production.
